MANAGEMENT TEAM The Company’s Management Team is led by DR. H.O. ORJI: FCIB, Chairman & CEO, whose profile is highlighted above. Complimenting his pragmatic and visionary leadership is a group of professionals with diverse backgrounds. They are:
MONDAY A. EWANS – Deputy General Manager & Head (Corporate Finance) Mr. M.A. Ewans holds a B.Sc. (Hons) 2nd upper degree in Economics of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1984) and a Masters degree (M.B.A) in Banking and Finance of the Abia State University, Uturu (1991). He started his banking career with the Progress Bank of Nigeria Plc as a Management Trainee where he rose to the position of Assistant Manager. He handled various functions such as retail, wholesale banking, corporate finance, etc. He later joined Ibeon Energy Nigeria Ltd Warri, an oil services company where he was in charge of finance, administration and business development functions as a Manager. Before joining Summa Guaranty & Trust Co. Plc he was a Marketing consultant with the Nigerian Institute of Management, Lagos. He also lectures part-time on Economics and Finance at the Abia State University, Uturu, Lagos tutorial center. He has attended various courses and seminars on credit and marketing, management development, customer service excellence and corporate finance. He is registered by the Securities & Exchange Commission as a capital market operator. MR EMEKA P. OKOLO - Asst. General Mgr. & Head (Stockbroking) Mr Okolo holds a 2nd upper honors degree in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka(1984),and has an MBA degree from the University of Port-Harcourt(1989). His banking career started in 1991 with First African Trust Bank(FATB),now Eagle Bank Ltd,where he served virtually in all the departments and held positions differently as Assistant Branch Manager and Head Risk Management before leaving for African Express Bank Plc (Afex) where he was at various times Branch Manager and Team Head of Business Division respectively.He functioned as Head(Capital Markets) in Afex Bank before moving to SGTC. Mr Okolo, with some scholarly publications to his credit, has attended various courses,seminars and conferences on credit,corporate and trade finance as well as investment banking. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), an Authorised Clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Associate of Certified Economists of Nigeria.
JULIE NWAGBOSO – Asst. General Manager (Money Market & Treasury) Mrs. Nwagboso holds a B.A (Hons) degree, 2 nd. Class upper, in Economics of the City of London University and a Diploma in Business Studies with Distinction. She was Assistant Senior Manager-Treasury Management in Progress Bank of Nigeria Plc after a stint as a lecturer in statistics at the University of Benin, Benin. Before joining Summa Guaranty & Trust Co. Plc, she was a Director in Chelsea Limited (Economics & Consultancy). She has over 15 years cognate experience in Banking, Finance & Corporate Treasury Management.
JONATHAN M. MBAEGBU - Senior Manager & Head-Abuja Office Mr. Mbaegbu is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies; a Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, London; a Member of British Institute of Management, London. He also has an MBA from the London campus of the American University. He has over 25 years cognate experience in Banking, Marketing and Administration..
